Qualifications

Robert Drennan is the Certified Mitigator for Berkshire Radon Technologies. The National Radon Safety Board (NRSB) runs educational programs in the necessary physics and, in particular, the subtleties of the radioactive gas Radon. The Federal examination is given by NRSB, covering nuclear physics as it pertains to radon gas and procedures to safely channel it to the outdoors, lowering indoor levels to below the EPA action guidelines.

Mr. Drennan began his professional career in nuclear data acquisition. In this fascinating engineering field, state of the art instrumentation was designed to collect the data after a nuclear event generated by a cyclotron or linear accelerator. Previously, he worked in engineering and manufacturing, in the fields of nuclear data acquisition, aircraft instrumentation and motorcycle and engine manufacturing.

Mr. Drennan also has a rich history in allied fields.

R. E. Drennan Home Inspection. Home Inspection requires a combination of skills and techniques which cut across the lines between architecture, building, contracting and engineering. The inspector must have a broad range of general knowledge in building, design and the mechanical trades in order to recognize conditions which may affect the future life of a home.

Robert Drennan is well versed in all fields of construction. A licensed general contractor and designer/builder for 20+ years in New England, his special areas of expertise were historic and period restoration and reproduction, along with energy-efficient new homes. He holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's License: #CS 047737. In addition, Mr. Drennan held a Home Improvement Contractors License, issued from the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards, Registration #111730 and The State of Connecticut Dept. of Consumer Protection Home Improvement Contractor License, Registration #531867.

Robert has completed both the ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) and the Carson, Dunlop & Associates Home Inspection training courses. He has also successfully completed the ASHI examination requirements. Robert is a Full ASHI Member and he holds a Home Inspector's License from the states of Connecticut (#HOI.142), Massachusetts (#221) and North Carolina (#1129), which has the most rigorous requirements and examinations for home inspector licensure nationally.
In May 2000, Robert completed course work and federal examinations and became certified by The
National Radon Safety Board as a Radon Measurement Specialist, Cert. # NRSB SSA017.
In November of 2000, he successfully completed course work and federal examinations for Radon Mitigation (# NRSB SSA17G) at Cook College, Department of Environmental Sciences at Rutgers University.
